A hundred things

Lately I've been fighting my insomnia (unsuccesfully I might add) through work out (and contortionism), music, and blog reading...not so much working as I should have...but I just can't concentrate anymore! I also rant...a lot, but don't write it all down, the voices in my head are going a bit too fast to capture them, be it on paper or keyboard.
Anyway...I was checking out some old posts in a friend's blog and came up with an interesting excercise, the kind I never finish, and decided to give it a go. so here goes. A hundred things about me, or else, a hundred random thoughts...(drumroll):

1.- Sometimes I remember how to say things in english better than I do in spanish.
2.- I'm really ashamed of this (and worried about it), it annoys people
3.- That is why, up 'till now I had kept posts in spanish...but I decided it just ain't really me without a little english
4 I also think in english many times... it sucks. Have to translate things and end up making up words and stuff like that.
5 I love music LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEE IT!
6 When I was about 4 I wanted to be a singer
7.- I still kinda do
8.- That's why I entered the choir at school.
9.- I'm a soprano, but wish I had a darker voice
10.- The biggest reason for this is I wish I could sing blues. I seriously want to stand up in a bar one day and do a Janis haha
11.- I have a fixiation with body scrubs...hey! I like to pamper myself every now and then
12.- I also love body lotions with citric or spicy smells.
13 I wish I was braver, more decisive, more confident and a bit more passionate
14 I thought I was really patient.
15 Turns out I'm not
16 I like to dance
17 ...but I don't know how...not really
18 I think the secret to get this hability is the tango philosophy (which sounds better in spanish): "flojita y cooperando" jaja. works for girls at least...
19 I talk too much, don't always make sense and sing when I think no one's listening (generally in a low voice in case someone IS listening)
20 I love to learn new languages, right now I want to learn japanese and french...and a bit of german maybe...and italian. but japanese and french first
12 J'ai déja etudié français, mais il a eté à un longtemp. Can't remember many things, pretty sure I wrote it wrong hehe
22 I lived in Condesa since I was 3 until about a year ago, but I'M NO CONDECHI GIRL.
23 ...though I do think the best ice cream in the universe comes from La Roxy. Mint (no choco chips) ice cream yeah!
24 The other best ice cream in the universe comes from a parlor by my gran's house. The one I used to go to with my grandpa
25 He's the person I miss the most and one of the people I most admire.
26 Last time I saw him I stayed over at his place and we went out on our bikes. He knew he was sick, having me over was his way of saying goodbye.
27 Ok, yes, I'm on A drug. Caffeine. but it's family tradition!
28 I write down bits of songs in all my notebooks.
29 some of these chase me all day, inspired phrases hiding in the most unlikely tunes are my favourite kind.
30 I like to imitate a british accent sometimes, I remember a girl in elementary used to do it to general annoyment, now I find it funny.
31 I was an absolute oddball during elementary. meowed all the time and didn't like kids my own age.
32 I currently study biology, (The perfect place for a "former" oddball..haha)
33 ...there are so many things to love about it, and so many interesting fields that I still don't know what on earth (or off it) I'll end up doing
34 If everything fails plan B is musical theater or joining a circus hehehe
35 I have serious issues with the "house" and "home" concepts. I've felt for some time I lack the latter
36 I make terrible jokes, TERRIBLE.
37 People only laugh, not to be polite, but because they can't believe anyone could tell such bad jokes, or mess them up so badly.
38 I don't mind this one bit. At least they laugh...and I laugh... a lot
39 I like to walk to get to a place, I don't mind if it's a bit far.
40 My second choice is using a bike, but I don't mind riding on a Mustang on longer journeys hahaha
41 I don't like very hot weather...unless there's a cold pool (or the ocean) nearby
42 I love the sound/smell/feel of rain.
43 When I was 11 I sung solo in a theater to open a show. it was scary and awesome and produced a 6 year stage-fright stage on me
44 My cousin Jerry came to the stage when I finished singing to give me flowers. That was the best part of that night.
45 My best friends are people I admire very very much
46 My oldest friend has been my friend ever since kindergarden 2.
47 We met at a school called Hills Garden and our moms realized we lived close by
48 Our teacher's name that year was Adriana... and she was a sweetheart!
49 Also that year I met a boy named Rafa who I ran into years later, her mom recognized me as the girl who "used to chase him to give him a kiss"...how embarrasing!
50 When that lady told me this I finally accepted I might sometimes be a bit flirty... (oh, and this was about just 2 years ago)
51 I love practicing sports, but haven't done it for a while
52 My favourite was gymnastics. Training on the club has been one of the funnest things I've ever done (and was partially inspired by a scene from Burton's "Batman returns", remember catwoman? She was my hero)
53 Right now I feel extremely out of shape and frankly a bit ...ok ok, not fat... but not particularly skinny either.
53 Yes, in that sense I'm a bit shallow. also a family tradition, gran goes berserk when her kids or grandkids gain weight and it starts to show
54 On the other hand, my other grandma used to discuss the possibility that I might be anorexic or bulimic whenever I entered a room.
55 One thing I am proud of are my legs,I don't think I show them off enough. Then again I think it would be unfair to other legs.
56 I should really sleep now...
57 But this is entretaining! (and strangely therapeutic)
58 I looove cheese...I'm going to take a moment right now to stand up for a piece of cheese...hang on...

...

59 OK, I'm back now.
60 One of the persons I currently admire most is my drawing professor, Aldi
61- I wish I could do what he did, just take my stuff and go off to some strange land...see what happens.
62 I wonder whether I would survive if ever I worked up the nerve to do it.
63 But I think I would rather experience the kind of lonliness he felt there than experience it right at... this house.
64 I sometimes really like being on my own for long periods of time... other times I just can't stand me and need people and noise around me. When this happens late at night it gets pretty unbearable
65 Right now, I wish I wasn't alone. I could use a hug and a "are you nuts!?"... and another hug
66 I use "..." way too much
67 I keep getting flashbacks lately, so yesterday I passed by my old school and decided to take a look...it looks smaller. I feel old haha
68 I'll call anyone who's over a month older than me "grandpa" or "grandma"... it's only a joke, don't take it as an offense.
69 I wish I was by the sea right now. Listening to waves crashing. soothing...
70 I like the word "indeed"
71 I tried to walk from school to my house again today... I should probably stop waisting so much time in such useless pursues.
72 I want to sing!!!!! Those poor inocent neighbours.
73 When I was little I was afraid of falling asleep and never waking up, or that the world might end soon... used to be easily scared.
74 My favourite movie at age 3 was the little mermaid. My mom still knows most of the lines.
75 "I don't wanna die without any scars!" Tyler (Brad Pitt) on "Fight club", seen it?
76 I love lying with my legs up the arms of the couch and my head hanging down
77 I love the dizzy feeling when I get up too
78 I could easily become a speed freak, I love fast cars, motorcycles, roller coasters and everytime I'm somewhere really high I wonder what it would feel like to drop from there (how very suicidal of me...)
79 I love Charles M. Schulz comics. Snoopy and Woodstock rule all.
80 I want a piercing, many in fact. But I've always been too chicken to go get them. Lately I've also considered a tatoo... not so sure about that though.
81 I was always more of a cat person, my kindergarden sweetheart was a dog person... I think that's the real reason why that didn't work out.
82 I think I have a terrible karmic debt that is going to catch up with me soon (still easily scared then...)
83 I really do try to learn from my mistakes.
84 I get the impression that my short term memory is increasingly poor and my vocabulary is suffering lagoons that get bigger and bigger since I started my professional studies. Funny thing 85 I like to get up when it's still dark
86 I love to travel87 I can write on a keyboard like an office assistant (using all my fingers). We had a typing course on 7th grade. A friend (Daniela) and I used to write "hidden messages" between the jujujukikikilololo's hahaha
88 I REALLY hate cultural prejudice... I was deeply offended by a comment a proffessor made the other day regarding the german...even though I'm no german hehe
89 I like knowing very different kinds of people, it can be a very enriching experience (y sí, "enriching" existe, lo acabo de averiguar)
90 I let music really get to me... I can't help it, it can absolutley change my mood.
91 I used to cry with every single movie I watched...every single one
92 Now I don't cry... not in front of people anyway. Not if I can avoid it
93 I tend to forget important dates on june and july but not for the rest of the year. I don't know why that happens
94 It annoys me when people assume that because of what I'm studying I'm a hippie vegetarian and greenpeace activist.
95 Or when they ask "marine biologist?"...sure, I study the whales in Xochimilco...
96 yipee! I'm almost done!
97 I've meant to make a correction of my "el momento zen de la semana" post, Alberto and Emmanuel also deserve special awards!
98 I like people who smile for no reason in particular. The ones that mean it (it shows)
99 I like to watch movies at home with a liter of Oreo ice cream and a couple of friends.
100 Jai guru deva...om!
